SWEET SUNSHINE SAUCES wins at the 2010 Fiery Food Challenge!

Gourmet Conveniences, LTd., has been awarded 3 Golden Chile’s in the 2010 Fiery Food Challenge for Sweet Sunshine Sauces in the Table Sauce and Hot Sauce catagories.

The Fiery Food Challenge, a competition sponsored by Chile Pepper Magazine, pits products against one another in more than 80 categories.  Professional judges evaluate hundreds of sauces, salsas and other spicy treats and award first, second, and third prizes in each category.  Awards are proudly displayed at ZestFest, a spicy food event held the same week as the Fiery Food Challenge, at the Will Rogers Center in Fort Worth, Tx.

Sweet Sunshine has now won 9 Scovie Awards over the last 3 years!

The Scovie Awards were created by Dave DeWitt, editor of the Fiery-Foods & BBQ Magazine and founder of the National Fiery Foods & BBQ Show.  The awards were named for Wilbur Scoville who pioneered a rating scale for spicy foods and have become the industry’s standard for excellence in more than 60 categories of fiery foods and has more than 700 competitors every year.
